MR. NED SIEGFRIED: I'm a local boy, I grew up in Bountiful, went to Viewmont High School and did my undergrad at University of Utah, and was a history major. Then went 40 miles to the south to Brigham Young University, and that's where I got my law degree. Graduated from law school in 1983 and when I got out of law school I was one of the few guys in my class that hung out their own shingle, and practiced as a sole practitioner from 1983 to 1990.
It just resonated with me that practicing law and representing people would be something I would enjoy, and it's ended up that way. And I think I made a good career choice, in terms of just fulfillment and feeling like I've done a lot of good things for a lot of good people I've had the opportunity to represent over the last 25 years. It's very poignant at times, and it's very fulfilling to kind of be that shoulder that they can lean on and cry on, literally, at times.
We-- Our firm mission statement is "restoring the injured with integrity and compassion." Now we want smart lawyers and we feel like we've got some of the smartest in town in this law firm. And that's a great blessing, it's a great asset. But we feel like another extremely important quality or virtue that we want to have, you know, all of our attorneys, as well as our paralegals and other staff members, is to have a heart, and to have compassion for people.
