American Fork, UT (April 28, 2019) – This is an update to a previous article regarding an accident that took place on Wednesday, April 24th when a 10-year-old girl rode her bike into an intersection near her home and was hit by a car.
The tragic accident took place at the intersection of 560 West and 1120 North at about 5:00 in the evening. The girl was in critical condition when she was transported to a nearby hospital and from there was airlifted to Salt Lake City’s Primary Children’s Hospital.

At this time it is still unknown why the young girl was riding her bike in the intersection.
We offer our heartfelt sympathies to the family of the young girl who died as a result of this incident. Our thoughts are with them at this time.
Car Accidents in American Fork
Each year, approximately 52,000 auto accidents occur on one of Utah’s many roadways. The result of these accidents is an average of 22,000 injuries and 250 fatalities every single year. Car crashes that take place in cities, in neighborhoods, and on highways end up creating a higher number of catastrophic injuries and a greater number of fatalities than car accidents that occur on less population-dense rural roadways.
This is mainly due to the substantially greater number of cars that use these roads, and the amount of distractions that are able to take a driver’s attention away from the road. Drivers on these roads are also in close quarters with one another because of the sheer volume of people.
When someone is hurt in a traffic accident, we strongly encourage them to get in touch with a skilled Utah personal injury attorney who is experienced enough to outline all of their legal options for them and assist them in filing a legal claim.
