Cedar City, UT – Elderly Cyclist Hospitalized Due To Crash On UT-56Utah Legal News
Cedar City, UT (July 24, 2019) – The Cedar City Police Department responded to an injury in the early morning at around 7:00 a.m. on Monday, July 22nd. A cyclist was hospitalized after being struck on UT-56 near Cedar City.
Reports indicate that a 2000 Chevrolet 1500 pickup and a 74-year-old cyclist were traveling west on the roadway when the cyclist struck the truck’s side mirror.
The cyclist was unconscious when responders arrived at the scene. An ambulance transported the man to Cedar City Hospital.
The man was then transported from the medical facility to Cedar City Hospital to Dixie Regional Medical Center by life flight for further treatment.
The cyclist was wearing a helmet at the time of the accident.
The cause of the crash is under investigation at this time.
