Cedar City, UT – Two-Vehicle Head-On Crash At Main Street And Fir Street Intersection Sends Three To HospitalUtah Legal News
Cedar City, UT (February 12, 2019) – Shortly after 1 p.m. Saturday, an injury accident occurred at the intersection of Main Street and Fir Street involving two vehicles. According to Cedar City Police Cpl. Addison Adams, the driver of a Blue 2007 Honda Civic, was heading southbound on Main Street in the turning lane. The driver of a red 2004 Buick Rainer SUV was heading northbound, traveling around 45 MPH, when they crossed the lane of travel and hit the Honda Civic head-on.
According to Adams, no alcohol or signs of impairment played a part in the accident. An investigation is ongoing as police try to uncover why the driver of the SUV jeered across two lanes of traffic. The driver of the SUV and both occupants of the blue Honda were transported to Cedar City Hospital for treatment of injuries.
Both vehicles sustained extensive front-end damage and were towed away from the scene of the accident. We hope all victims involved in this incident make a speedy recovery.
