Green River, UT – 1 Dead After Semi Trucks Crash Head-On on Rt 6

Green River, UT (April 30, 2019) – A multi-vehicle accident took place on Tuesday, April 30th that stopped both eastbound and westbound traffic on Route 6 for almost six hours. The accident reportedly occurred shortly before 4:00 in the morning.

Officers from the Utah Highway Patrol along with other emergency responders arrived at the scene of an accident that involved a FedEx tractor-trailer and another tractor-trailer that collided head-on on Route 6 near Woodside close to mile marker 279.  

According to initial statements, the FedEx semi was traveling westbound when, for reasons that have not yet been determined, it veered over the center line and into the oncoming eastbound lanes of traffic, where it collided with another semi.

The FedEx driver, whose name has not yet been released, was killed in the collision. The driver of the other truck required medical treatment for injuries he sustained in the accident but his condition was listed as non-life threatening. The secondary driver in the eastbound truck was completely unharmed.
