Juab County, UT (April 18, 2019) – A terrible accident took place on Thursday, April 18th, in a remote area of Juab County. The accident is reported to have occurred prior to 1:30 on Thursday afternoon.
The Juab County Sheriff’s Department and other emergency responders received reports on an accident that involved an ATV that had rolled over and settled on top of the driver in an area known as Little Sahara, near the back of Sand Mountain. This area of Juab County is only accessible by ATV or similar offroad vehicles.
The man, whose name has not yet been released, reportedly had one of his arms severed during the accident. The circumstances of the accident are also unclear at this time.
Police have also stated that the remoteness of the area was an obstacle to timely emergency response, and his current status and condition are unknown.
