Layton, UT (April 9, 2019) – On Tuesday, April 9, a fire broke out at the Quail Cove Apartments in Layton.
Layton Fire Department responded to the structure fire around 1:17 a.m. with the assistance from Hill Air Force Base crews. Upon arriving at the apartment complex, located at 240 West Antelope Drive, crews spotted a fire in one of the bedrooms at the complex.
Inside the room, crews located a 67-year-old man who had collapsed from heavy smoke inhalation. The man was transported to McKay-Dee Hospital in serious condition for treatment to injuries. No other injuries were reported in the 12-unit complex.
