Utah Suffocation Incidents
During 2017, accidental suffocation was one of the leading causes of unintentional injuries leading to death in Utah for children. A child suffering a strangulation injury can lead to suffocation and cause serious and life-threatening complications. These terrifying instances can turn lethal instantly and cause devastation for entire families.
Sadly, there are many instances in which strangulation injuries are preventable, especially when young children are involved. Suffering a strangulation injury can result in permanent brain damage and other neurological complications.
