Midvale, UT (March 11, 2019) – On Sunday, around 2:00 p.m., Unified Police Department responded to a crash at 8000 South and State Street.

According to police, the driver of a Honda Civic was traveling down State Street at an excessive speed. The Honda Civic crashed into a Mercedes-Benz that was making a left-hand turn near the aforementioned intersection. The driver of the Honda was ejected in the collision before the Honda caught fire and crashed into a local business.

The drivers of both vehicles were transported to an area hospital in critical condition. Alcohol may have played a role in this accident, as evidence demonstrates the driver of the Honda may have been impaired.
