Midway, UT – Several Injured When Conveyor Belt Malfunctions at Tubing Hill

Midway, UT (February 24, 2019) – At the Soldier Hollow Nordic Center tubing hill on Friday afternoon, several people were injured after a conveyor belt malfunctioned.

The accident took place when the uphill transportation belt that services the tubing hill broke down. Police confirmed that four guest received injuries, with one being taken to the hospital and since being released.

Police spoke to a witness who was there when the belt broke. She claimed that she heard a loud sound and was thrown to the ground. She confirmed that this is how the parties became injured.

Multiple ambulances, ski patrol, and police arrived at the scene of the accident. The investigation into the matter continues at this time.
