Ogden, UT (March 30, 2019) – A fatal car accident took place near 23rd Street and Wall Avenue in Ogden on March 29th. The collision occurred at 7:00 in the evening.

The Ogden Police Department and emergency responders reported to the scene of the deadly accident that involved the victim, who has since been identified as 24-year-old Jacob Michael Erebia crashing his vehicle into a traffic pole.

Pedestrian Accidents in Ogden

Every year in the state of Utah, more than 1000 pedestrians are injured and an average of 30 pedestrians are killed in car accidents. When a pedestrian is struck by 4,000 pounds of metal, even very slow rates of speed can spell disaster for the unwitting walker.

After being struck by a car, the pedestrian will most likely be left with injuries that will take a significant amount of time to heal. Some of these injuries may even be life-long, causing permanent disability and possibly even the loss of the victim’s independence.

Even non-catastrophic injuries can result in the victim suffering extensive damages. Hospital bills, the cost of medicines, physical therapy or medical devices, loss of wages due to missed work,  and pain and suffering are just some of the losses for which Utah allows you to seek financial compensation from the responsible party.
