Orem, UT – 6-Year-Old Girl Killed By Accident On Golf CourseUtah Legal News
Orem, UT (July 17, 2019) – A young girl was reported to have been killed in an accident on a golf course on Monday, July 15th. Local news sources indicate that the 6-year-old was sitting in a golf cart, 20 yards away from her father who was teeing off at The Links at Sleepy Ridge. The man hit the ball toward the golf cart, striking the girl.
Local police were notified of the accident at around 10:25 a.m. When they arrived paramedics had already arrived to treat the young victim.
The girl sustained a severe head injury and was transported to a local hospital for immediate medical treatment. She was then taken to Primary Children’s Medical Center in Salt Lake City with critical injuries.
The girl was reported dead at 9:00 p.m. on Monday evening.
The identities of those involved have not been released at this time.
The cause of the tragic accident is under investigation.
