Panguitch, UT – Motorcyclist Killed In Accident On UT-143Utah Legal News
Panguitch, UT (August 12, 2019) – Thursday afternoon on August 8th, a motorcyclist was reportedly killed after being struck head-on by a pickup truck. The crash happened just south of Panguitch, Utah on UT-143. According to Utah Highway Patrol, the accident happened just before 5:00 p.m.
The motorcyclist was traveling southbound on the highway when a Toyota pickup truck traveling northbound struck him head-on. For an unknown reason, the pickup crossed the centerline. The deceased was identified as a 68-year-old man from Panguitch. He was killed on impact.
It is believed that fatigue was a factor in the accident. The identity of the driver was not released, and it is unknown if the driver was injured. The cause of the collision is under investigation.
