Salina, UT (March 17, 2019) – Late Friday night Utah police responded to a call of a serious accident on Interstate 70 near mile marker 61.
Initial reports claimed that the driver of a Buick Rendezvous had apparently fallen asleep at the wheel and drifted off the left-hand side of the interstate which caused the vehicle to roll over. The youngest passenger, a boy, was ejected from his seat and died as a result of the injuries that he sustained. Another passenger suffered several critical injuries and was taken to a nearby hospital for medical treatment. The driver and two remaining passengers also received medical treatment for minor injuries.
The name of the deceased has not been released at this time since the investigation into the crash is still underway.
