Salt Lake City, UT – SUV Crashes into Telephone Pole

Salt Lake City, UT (March 16, 2019) – Shortly after 4:00 on Saturday evening, March 16, a man who has yet to be identified drove his Chevrolet Tahoe into a utility pole.

The 36-year-old driver of the SUV was headed northbound on 1300 East when he suddenly veered left, went over the curb, and collided with a power pole. The pole fractured and fell over into the roadway, blocking traffic for several hours while Rocky Mountain Power crews worked to replace it.

There is no word yet on the condition of the driver or anyone else who was in the vehicle at the time. Police are still working to figure out what caused the loss of control over the vehicle.
