Sanpete Co., UT – 3 Dead in Accident on Power Plant RoadUtah Legal News
Sanpete County, UT (May 07, 2019) – A terrible accident took place on the night of Friday, May 4th in a remote area of Sanpete County, Utah. The exact time of the accident has not been indicated.
Officers from the Utah Highway Patrol along with other emergency responders reported to the scene of an accident that involved a passenger vehicle ramming into the back of a pick-up truck at a high rate of speed on Power Plant Road, east of Mount Pleasant.
Preliminary reports seem to indicate that the car crested a hill going a little too fast and encountered a pick-up truck traveling in the same direction. The car was going too fast to stop and slammed into the back of the truck, killing the three passengers in the car. The vehicle then proceeded to catch on fire. Fortunately, paramedics were able to extricate the three bodies and the driver before the vehicle was fully engulfed.
The driver was the only one wearing a seat belt, and the only one to survive the crash. The three victims were an 18-year-old male and two 16-year-old females.
We offer our sincerest condolences to the friends and families of the three teenagers who lost their lives as a result of this horrible accident. Our hearts go out to you during this very difficult time.
