Spanish Fork River, UT – Mother Killed and Baby Found Alive After Car Crash

Spanish Fork River, UT (March 10, 2019) – Police reported that a mother was killed but a baby was found inside a vehicle following a serious car crash at the Spanish Fork River. The accident allegedly happened yesterday morning, March 9th.

Police responded to the accident when they believe the mother, whose name has not yet been released, ran into a barrier and went off the side of the road, her vehicle plunging down to the edge of the river. A fisherman came to the area and noticed the vehicle in the river.

Police are not sure of the exact circumstances of the accident at this time. The child was found in critical condition and was identified as an 18-month-old child.

The mother, a 25-year-old female, was pronounced dead at the scene. Police continue to investigate the accident at this time.
