Springville, UT (May 07, 2019) – A multi-vehicle accident took place on Sunday, May 5th that affected traffic in all directions. The accident is reported to have occurred sometime in the afternoon.
Officers from the Utah Highway Patrol and other emergency responders reported to the scene of an accident that involved a car running a red light and crashing into a motorcycle, which in turn caused two subsequent collisions at the intersection of E 400 South and S 400 East.
According to initial statements, a 44-year-old female driving a Subaru Impreza went through a light while driving southbound on 400 East and, as a result, collided with the westbound motorcycle in the intersection at 400 South. The Subaru and the motorcycle each hit one other vehicle that was in the intersection at the time of the crash.
The driver of the motorcycle received medical transport to a nearby hospital where he underwent necessary care for unspecified injuries to his legs and head. His passenger, a 9-year-old girl, also sustained injuries to both of her legs during the crash. Their identities and conditions have not been released at this time but the child’s injuries did not appear to be life-threatening. Both of the injured persons were wearing helmets when the incident occurred.
No one else involved in the collision was injured.
We wish a full and speedy recovery to both the biker and his passenger.
Motorcycle Accidents in Springville
Sadly, the people who are involved in motorcycle accidents frequently suffer from severe injuries due to the fact that they are much more exposed to the impact force caused by other vehicles during a collision than your average passenger car or truck on the roadway. The victims who do suffer injuries in motorcycle-involved accidents have the right to file personal injury claims against negligent drivers in an attempt to get financial reimbursement for their injuries and other damages to which they have been subjected.
We know that no amount of money, however large, will ease the physical and emotional pain that a victim of a motorcycle accident must face as a result of their injuries, but it can help to relieve some of the financial difficulties they will be required to deal with.
