St. George, UT – Accident On State Route 9 Causes Injuries And Delays

St. George, UT (March 21, 2019) – On Wednesday, shortly before 8:30 a.m., Washington City Police reported to the scene of a motor vehicle accident in state Route 9.

The accident occurred just short of Interstate 15. According to Washington City Police Lt. Jason Williams, a commercial truck, Honda Pilot, and Ford pickup truck were involved in a crash within minutes of another.

An investigation of the incident shows that the commercial truck was unable to stop in time, causing the vehicle to rear-end a Honda pilot, which was stopping as the result if a traffic accident ahead. The force of the commercial vehicle striking the Honda caused the Honda to push forward into the rear end of a trailer attached to a Ford pickup truck. The force of the Honda caused the vehicle to go through the side panel off the trailer and enter inside.

Individuals injured in this collision were provided medical attention at the scene by the Hurricane Valley Fire District emergency response crew. Our thoughts and prayers go out to those injured in this crash.

Semi-Truck Accidents In Utah

St. George, UT – Accident On State Route 9 Causes Injuries And DelaysSemi-truck accidents often result in serious and life-altering injuries. The size and weight of these vehicles make it more likely for individuals to sustain injuries in accidents in which they are involved. Unfortunately, the size of these vehicles makes them more difficult to control in stop-and-go traffic, which increases the likelihood for an accident to occur.

Vehicles struck by semi-trucks often sustain heavy damage, which typically causes them to be deemed totaled by insurance companies. Individuals are left without vehicles while dealing with injuries, doctor appointments, and surgeries in the aftermath of accidents.
