St. George, UT – Two Drivers Hospitalized after T-Bone Crash at Blackridge Drive and South 250 WestUtah Legal News
St. George, UT (February 16, 2019) – A local news source reported that two drivers required hospitalization as the result of a T-bone crash that took place along the junction of Blackridge Drive and South 250 West. According to the report, one driver had failed to yield during a left turn.
Based on the report, a black Ford F-150 pickup truck had been heading eastbound along Blackridge Drive at the same time a gray Ford Ranger was traveling westbound along the same route. After both vehicles approached the intersection of Blackridge and 250, the driver of the Ranger attempted to execute a left turn onto Hilton Drive, but the Ford plowed into it.
As a result of the collision, both vehicles spun out of control. Ultimately, the Ford slid across the road until its two passenger-side wheels slid onto the sidewalk. Likewise, the Ranger blocked the inside lane of west traffic.
Additional reports confirmed an off-duty firefighter, who had witnessed the deadly accident, stopped his vehicle and rendered aid to the victims until emergency teams arrived.
Both drivers sustained injuries and were taken to Dixie Regional Medical Center, where they received more in-depth evaluation and treatment. Officers confirmed the Ford driver was listed as a “code 3” emergency by EMTs.
Ultimately, the Ford sustained severe damage to its front end, while the Ranger suffered heavy damage to its passenger side. Both vehicles were removed from the roadway following the crash.
Authorities have confirmed the Ranger driver will be cited for failure to yield to oncoming traffic.
We extend our most heartfelt prayers to the injured Ford driver and wish this individual a swift and efficient recovery during this difficult time.
