Summit Co., UT – Woman Dies in Head-On Crash on Brown’s Canyon RdUtah Legal News
Summit County, UT (May 24, 2019) – A deadly accident occurred on Thursday, May 24th that affected both westbound and eastbound traffic. The incident took place at approximately 8:45 in the morning.
Deputies from the Summit County Sheriff’s Office along with other emergency responders arrived at the scene of an accident that involved a 2012 Toyota Camry and a 2008 Toyota Highlander in a head-on collision near 4650 W. Browns Canyon Road.
According to initial reports, the driver of the Camry was headed westbound on W. Brown’s Canyon Road when, for reasons that have not yet been discovered, it veered into the eastbound lanes of oncoming traffic where it smashed head first into the Highlander.
The 63-year-old driver of the Camry. A woman from Oakley died on impact. The driver of the Highlander, a 31-year-old male resident of Peoa, was transported to a nearby medical facility with injuries that were listed as critical.
The cause of this fatal accident is still under investigation by local law enforcement.
The identities of the two people involved have not yet been released as their families have not yet been notified.
