Taylorsville, UT (February 24, 2019) – On 4000 West, police responded to an incident that happened when a Jeep struck a power pole following a car accident.

The accident took place around 3:38 p.m. today near 6200 South. The Jeep was struck by another car, which caused the driver to lose control and crash into a power pole. There was a 44-year-old man trapped inside the vehicle who police said had to be extricated.

The power pole that had been struck was unstable following the accident. Rocky Mountain Power was called in to fix the pole.

Police continue to investigate the circumstances of the initial accident.
