Taylorsville, UT (March 24, 2019) – On Sunday, March 24, at 3:38 pm, officers from the Unified Police Department responded to reports of a Jeep colliding with a utility pole near the intersection of 6200 South and 3920 West.
The reports stated that the jeep was struck by another passenger vehicle, causing the Jeep to lose control and swerve off the road and crash into the power pole.
The 44-year-old driver of the Jeep, whose identity has not yet been released, was stuck inside of his vehicle and had to be extricated by emergency crews that arrived on the scene. The extent of his injuries has not been made public at this time.
The collision caused the power pole to become unstable, so a crew from the Rocky Mountain Power Company arrived to fix it, causing traffic on 4000 West to be detoured in the interim.
