Tooele County, UT (March 10, 2019) – A victim was identified following a fatal crash that took place on Interstate 80 on Thursday. Police investigated the accident.
Utah Highway Patrol troopers identified the man who lost his life as 30-year-old Nathan Wayman, of Salt Lake City. The accident took place at milepost 92 on the highway around 1:39 p.m. Wayman was the passenger in a vehicle that was involved in a serious accident.
Police say that, following the accident, the vehicle went off the roadway to the left, overcorrected, and went off the other side of the road where it rolled multiple times. Wayman was fatally injured after the vehicle started rolling.
The driver of the same vehicle was airlifted from the scene in critical condition. Police are still investigating the circumstances of the accident at this time.
