Tooele, UT – Fatal Rollover Crash Takes One Life on State Route 36Utah Legal News
Tooele, UT (May 21, 2019) – Around 12:26 a.m. this morning, May 21, police responded to the scene of a fatal rollover crash that took the life of one man in Tooele.
The accident, according to the Utah Highway Patrol, took place on SR-36 when the driver of an SUV had been traveling northbound and traveled onto the other side of the road for reasons that are unknown.
Police confirmed that the vehicle immediately struck a concrete barrier in the road and crossed into the opposite lanes of travel, where it then rolled. The SUV finally came to a stop off the side of the road.
The driver whose life was taken in this accident was identified as a 62-year-old male. He was ejected from the vehicle in the accident.
Police are still investigating the circumstances of the accident.
