Utah County, Utah (February 16, 2019) – Local news sources reported that the Utah Highway Patrol responded to an accident that took place took place when a car slammed into a deer before crashing into a second vehicle. The incident transpired along U.S. Route 6 near mile marker 186 at approximately 6:32 PM.
Based on a report from a UHP corporal, one of the vehicles had been heading eastbound down U.S. Route 6 when, without warning, it slammed into the deer. As a result of the impact, the vehicle swerved into oncoming traffic, where it crashed into a second car.
Both vehicles have been identified as a black Subaru, driven by two local women, and a blue Ford sedan registered in Colorado, driven by a woman and also occupied by her male passenger. Emergency responders attended to the victims who are said to have suffered non-life threatening injuries.
The UHP sadly reported that the deer did not survive the impact.
