Wasatch County, UT – 1 Killed, 2 Injured In Accident Near Strawberry Reservoir

Wasatch County, UT (July 15, 2019) – A man from American Fork was killed and two others were injured in a collision involving a semi-truck in Wasatch County. The incident took place on Saturday evening, July 13th, at around 7:40 p.m. on US-40 near Strawberry Reservoir. 

The deceased was identified by local authorities as a 25-year-old native of American Fork. 

EMS and local police officials were present at the scene of the crash. Initial reports state that a Kenworth semi was traveling east on US-40 when a Honda Accord attempted to make a left turn from Strawberry Reservoir onto US-40. This resulted in the truck colliding with the driver side of the Honda. 

The 25-year-old, the driver of the Honda, was pronounced dead at the scene. Another passenger was transported to Utah Valley Hospital in Provo by helicopter. 

The driver of the 18-wheeler was also injured and taken to Heber Valley Hospital in Heber City.

No other information is available at this time. 

The crash is currently under investigation at this time.
