West Valley City, UT – Fatal Rollover on Redwood Road Near 3600 South

West Valley City, UT (March 31, 2019) – A fatal traffic accident occurred on Sunday, March 31st on Redwood Road. The crash happened at approximately 4:30 in the evening.

The West Valley City Police Department and emergency response crews arrived on a scene that involved an SUV and a passenger vehicle. The northbound side of Redwood Road was temporarily shut down between 3500 South and 3800 South.

Very limited reports from West Valley City officers stated that the passenger car crashed into the SUV, causing it to roll over. The 76-year-old driver who has not yet been identified was partially ejected from his vehicle. The driver of the other car, who is also unidentified, received several injuries but they are reported to be fairly minor.

News vans, WVC police, and emergency crews are still on the scene of the accident. A cause has yet to be determined.
