West Valley City, UT (March 31, 2019) – Police and emergency crews responded to a fatal accident earlier today on Redwood Road.
The West Valley Police Department were on the scene of a collision between an SUV and a passenger vehicle. Redwood Road between 3500 South and 3800 South is still closed at this time as the authorities continue their investigation.
Initial accident reports stated that an SUV was hit by a passenger car, which caused the SUV to lose control and roll over. The driver, who has now been identified as 76-year-old Richard Alan Learned of Sandy, Utah, was ejected from his vehicle as a result of the impact and died from his injuries.
